Asia Euro University successfully organized a thesis presentation program for senior students (Batch III) after having fulfilled their four-year study in bachelor degree of Computer Science from May 19, 2008 to May 24, 2008.

     Sun Setha, dean of Faculty of Science and Information Technology and president of examination and evaluation committee, said in his report that there were 77 students in bachelor degree of Computer Science, including 5 women, presenting their thesis at this moment and they were all divided into 15 groups. Each group was led by one or two supervisors.

     He continued that there were 11 committees for examining and evaluating students’ thesis presentation at this time. Students’ thesis at present focuses mainly on two different topics:

          1. Database Management with Web Application and Windows Application

          2. Computer Network Administration in private and public institutions

     In this process, students were allowed to complete their duties in 5 month’s time and that would be a good opportunity for students to get jobs from private companies. For example, a group of students who had written and presented their thesis about online stock management system of Ming Vuoy Company was later accepted to work there because there was a representative from that company during the thesis presentation day coming to observe those students’ explanation regarding their thesis.

      He also added that the main purpose of university management teams in encouraging students to write thesis was to prove that our students had not only theoretical but also practical ability that would allow them to have enough qualifications for any legal jobs upon their graduation.

      In this occasion, H.E. Duong Leang, advisor to Council Ministers and rector of Asia Euro University, highly praised the effort of all lecturers and committees as well as students in successfully implementing their duties. He also added that a bright future would befall on any student who studied hard to enrich their capacity with almost every skill because job markets in every institution at the mean time and in the future did require qualified students. He even stressed on the benefits of internship for writing thesis that most students got a very successful result. Lastly, he recommended students to make use of their knowledge for rightful and legal jobs that Samdech Akkak Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, always raised “A wise man without morality is no longer a wise man.”

       Asia Euro University always focus on examining and evaluating school disciplines for the sake of bringing about real quality and capacity for students in all skills and levels. This attention has made students at Asia Euro University increase rapidly and the University will soon run Ph-D degree in the near future.
